Engineers Without Borders at Auburn Univesity
The Auburn University student chapter of Engineers Without Borders was founded in 2014 after years of engineering outreach in a small town in Bolivia. Our chapter is currently on the path to finding our first official communities with the organization.
Mission
EWB-USA supports community-driven development programs worldwide through partnerships that design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences that enrich global perspectives and create responsible leaders.
Vision
EWB-USA's vision is a world in which the communities they serve have the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs.
Community Approach
Engineers Without Borders USA is a membership-based nonprofit organization that partners with communities to meet their basic human needs and creates global leaders through transformative experiences. At the core of EWB-USA’s model is the principle that it is the communities we serve who must drive their development. As our clients, they are senior partners in the development process. The success of these community programs can only be achieved as a result of collaboration with communities and other partners in the design and implementation of sustainable engineering projects.
